Indoor League Week 6

In the Junior Division, Team C batted first and lost early wickets as big swishes of the bat failed to connect with ball. Mylo Walker got into double figures as the score finished on 62 for 3, both Tomas Pybus and Henry Ward bowled very tidily, going for less than 10 runs each. Aided by a number of wides, Team A had little trouble in reaching their target. Jake Wright retired on 15 and Joseph brook on 18, Daniel Bradley bowled very well going for only two runs.
In the Senior Division Team A opted to bat first and score the 83 runs needed to guarantee they won the division, with Cameron and Fin Clarke starting with their usual positive approach. Fin top scored with 26 not out, but there were five double figure scores in their total of 125 for 6. Sub Tom Brom had the best bowling figures with one wicket for ten runs. The Team C response got off to a bad start with the early loss of sub Isaac Bottomley, although both Percivals and Andrew Ralph got double figures, three run outs led to Team C reaching only 78 for 6. Jack Platt, Fin and Cameron Clarke all proved very difficult to score off going for single figures. This victory was an excellent example of how to be successful in the indoor league, the tactical approach ensuring that everyone contributed.
That's the end of the Indoor League for this year, hope you enjoyed it, I did.
