Under-15s match report vs Norton

On a Sunny Sunday morning with the smell of bacon wafting over the school Ground, Richmond were put in to bat first. After losing Captain Tom first ball Richmond started on the back foot, a good stand by Debutant Harrison and Alex Percival started to re build the innings.

After losing Harrison for 8 and a couple of quick wickets and Alex for 26, Richmond were 43 for 4. In came Alex Nimmo and Jake Percival to hit some runs including the first 6 of the U15s season by Jake. Jake on 15 went for a big hit and was caught. Alex was run out on the last ball looking for a single for 21.

Richmond finishing on 94-9.

Knowing how hard it was to bat on the wicket, Richmond knew a good bowling and fielding performance would win them the game and that's what we got from the first ball to the last. Using 9 bowlers every one bowled fantastic and 3 catches in the field for Alex Percival they kept Norton to 43 for 6 off 20 overs.

Bowling figures:

A Percival 3-0-4-1
A Nimmo 3-1-2-0
C Clarke 3-0-9-0
K York 3-1-4-2
J Percival 2-0-3-0
F Clarke 2-1-5-1
J Carruthers 2-0-9-1
G Stewart 1-0-3-1
T Ward 1-0-2-0

Richmond winning by 51 Runs

Well done to all a great team performance, the hardest part of the day for me was picking the man of the match.

The U15s Andy Percival Glazing & Windows man of the match goes to Alex Percival.

See you all at Monday night training.
