Richmondshire U15s match report vs Stockton - Cup


On a sunny evening at Stockton, Richmond yet again lost the toss and was put into bat.

Getting off to a quick start Richmond lost there first wicket on 29 off 5 overs. Captain Jonny kept the fight going with Harrison before he went for 29 and then Harrison for 14. Stockton had 3 very good spinners that slowed the run rate down until Jake came in towards the end and hit a quick fire 15 not out off 13 balls Richmond finishing on 99 for 7.

Richmond up against 1 Durham and 4 Cleveland players knew they would have to do well in the field to stand a chance. A great opening spell by Alex Nimmo helped peg them back inc the wicket of the Durham player Alex finished on 4-2-8-1. With all the bowlers bowling well and a wicket for Jonny and 2 for Kai. It was some very good tight bowling at the end by Cameron Clarke that helped win the game, Cameron finishing with figures of 3-1-6-1.

Stockton finishing on 94-5

Richmond winning by just 5 runs.
