Richmond U11 Vs Newton Aycliffe
The U11’s won their first league match by 24 runs (256 – 232). Once again accurate economical bowling claimed
7 wickets with only 17 extra runs conceded. A great all round fielding
performance with Alex Laviolette the pick of the bowling taking 2 for 6 and a
good catch, and 5 of the other 8 bowlers taking one wicket each, backed up by
some good keeping by Alex Pinkney. This was followed by a batting performance which
resulted in the loss of just 1 wicket with 61 runs on the board. A steady
controlled innings from all batsmen with George Rutherford top scoring on 12
and Lucas Holmes on 10, with no wickets conceded. Next league game is
Sedgefield Away on Sunday 26th June. Well played everyone for our
first league win !
