U11's Lose by 37 runs to Sedgefield

The U11’s played their first cup game at Richmond School yesterday, and although the result didn’t go our way, everyone played their part including commendable support and help from parents ! The wicket was very slow and runs were hard to come by. However Sedgefield’s opening pair batted very well against accurate fast bowling, which on the day was the difference between the two teams. We took six wickets, three taken by William Newson , the others taken by Alex Laviolette, Joe Carruthers & Kai Yorke, well done lads. A valiant effort and a good experience, lets hope we can get our first win on Friday evening!
