Indoor League Results 20th November
Junior Division
This week the junior division produced the high scores as Team A 172 for 2 beat Team C 104 for 2. For obvious reasons, there were no outstanding bowling figures. In the Team A innings substitute pro Henry Shepherd made 42 not out, Gabriel Stewart 30 not out, Max Booth 27 not out and Joe Sydall 29 not out. With a bit more focus on the quick single, Team C's batters could easily have increased their scores, as Joseph White scored 24 not out, Alex Pinkney and Zac Cleminson both scored 16 not out.
Senior Division
With the Walker twins absent, there was a bit of juggling of substitutes and Team A's batting was missing its usual violence. Four of Team A's batters got double figures, the most unusual feature of the innings was that Ted While was top scorer, which I am sure is a first. Team A failed to use up all their overs as they were all out for 86, Dan Sharp taking 2 for 11 and Sam Metcalfe 3 for 20. Team C scored 124 for 5, Tom Spensley scoring 37 not out and James Newson 20 not out, Bantermeister Harvey Websdale was silenced with an early dismissal . Ted took 3 for 9 while Ben Dale was very economical taking 1 for 8. Behind the stumps Patrick Carlton threw himself about with great enthusiasm but suffered from some wayward bowling and a pair of Teflon coated gloves.
