Softball Festival Sunday 21st June

We have been invited to send a team to a festival at Middleton in Teesdale on Sunday 21st June. This is for Primary School age players who are not yet playing regular hard ball cricket.

I have now received the following information from Middleton:

We have interest from 6 Clubs at present so can confirm that the event will take place on Sunday 21st June 2014.

The six clubs are:

Middleton - in - Teesdale

Rockcliffe Park

Raby Castle

Richmond

Willington

Barnard Castle

We hope to start around 1pm so if teams can aim to arrive by 12:30ish it will allow a little time to get organised. Each team will have a minimum of Three games followed by a Final and we hope to finish by 6 O'clock.

There will be a Bouncy Castle for the Children (unless we are let down again), Tea and Coffee available all day and also a BBQ during the afternoon.

I have ordered the same weather as last year so bring your sun cream!

Players need to be there at the start and stay with the team until it is knocked out or wins; it is not possible to turn up halfway through the event or leave with a game still to play.

Finding the ground: come into Middleton on the B6282 from Eggleston, just before a right hand bend, turn left into Leekworth Gardens, which is before you reach the Primary School. After about 100 metres, bear right across a large playing field, at the far side of the playing field is the cricket pitch.
