Richmondshire U13's v Barnard Castle U13's League Fixture - Match Report

On a wet morning Richmond won the toss and decided to bowl, our bowling was good restricting Barnard Castle's run rate, at the end of 20 overs Barnard Castle were on just 62-6, the bowling figures were as follows: Mark Walker 2-15, Johnny Carr 1-6, Johnny Carlton 0-7, Jack Nicholls 1-10, Nathan Simpson 0-8, Eddie Lewington 1-10, Harvey Websdale 1-3, we took 3 great catches in the field, 2 from Jack Nicholls and 1 from Johnny Carlton, also credit and thanks to Patrick Carlton who filled in at the last minute and fielded brilliantly to stop at least one 4 passing him, he also did some great throw ins. Richmond came into bat, Tom Dowson and Harvey opened and ate well into the required target, Tom was bowled on 18 and Harvey caught on 27 by which time the win seemed inevitable, George added a further 8 with both Johnny Carr and Johnny Carlton adding 1 each, we required just one run to win half way through the 16th over and it went for 4 byes, giving Richmond the win with a total of 66-3 with 4.3 overs to spare.
