Match Report U13 NYACC Fixture v Seaton Carew

A gentle re-introduction to the pairs format for the NYACC U13 team as they cruised to a 99 run victory.

Seaton Carew batted first on a pitch with very narrow boundaries square of the wicket. They started well losing no wickets in the first two pairs, but then lost 11 wickets in the last three to finish on 63 for 11, 175 net. Our bowling was very tidy, only two wides were bowled, in comparison we bowled six maiden overs. There were some excellent bowling figures, Toby Lush 3 overs, 3 maidens, 2 wickets for 0, Jonny Carr 3 overs, 1 maiden, 4 wickets for 9.

Our batting was not as exciting, as it was obvious that we would win if we didn't lose a silly number of wickets. We lost three wickets in scoring 98 runs, James Irving, Matty Price and Harvey hitting some good fours as we finished on 274 net.

Hopefully this will have been a useful practice match ahead of next week's fixture against Darlington.
