Match Report, U12s v Stokesley - another win !

Amabel may want to update this - some of this report is from what I saw looking out of the window during the Management Committee meeting, so it may not be 100% accurate.

Stokesley batted first, managing a net score of 234, in real numbers 66 for 4. The Stokesley batting was quite steady, they got a good start but Jack Smith then put the brakes on with a couple of wickets in the middle of the innings.

When Stokesley came to bowl, it was soon obvious that bowling was their strength, as Richmondshire lost wickets regularly and struggled to keep the net score above 200, despite some good shots from Jonny Carlton opening the innings. The latter Richmondshire pairs batted and ran enthusiastically, such that at the beginning of the last over, we were just a couple of runs ahead. We scored 5 more, to finally end up winning by 7 runs, so a wicket lost in the last over would have been enough to reverse the result. Final Richmondshire score 73 for 4, 241 net.
