Richmondshire U-13s match report vs Darlington (cup)

Richmondshire Under-13s got their Lowery Cup campaign back on track with a convincing victory against Darlington, winning by 62 runs.

Batting first, Richmondshire lost their first wicket for 18 runs on the board, but opener Alex Nimmo stepped up the rate and retired not out for 31. Not to be outdone, Jake Percival made the same score in in even quicker time, facing just over a dozen balls.

Joe Sydall and Thomas Wooff then put on a great middle order partnership, Joe scoring 16 and Thomas with 28 after some great strokes.

Richmondshire finished on 139-4 after 20 overs.

Opening bowlers Alex Nimmo and Andrew Ralph set the scene for what was to be a great night with the ball and in the field, Alex conceding only 5 runs from his 2 overs and Andrew 6 runs from his 6. Alex was also responsible for two run outs and one catch.

William Shaefer then took 2 wickets, with Jack Van Nierkerk, Freddie Hendrix and James Coyle also chipping in with a wicket each.

Darlington finished on 77-7 after 20 overs.
