Anyone wondering why the rules mention 8 a side games when the teams listed are 6 or 7 a side, this is to accommodate latecomers or those who registered but were not available regularly enough to be in a fixed team. Such players will be added to regular teams as "guests" in the senior division only.
The only changes from previous years are to stop matches being dominated by one or two batters:
(i) Batters who have reached 50 runs without being dismissed may not face any more balls, they either retire permanently or act as a runner,
(ii) "Last man standing" will not apply for batters who have returned after retiring, if all their team mates are out, they cannot bat any more.
