D+D league and friendlies summary and thanks
Just a quick thankyou to all that played in the U13 team that competed in the Darlington and District league this season. We had six league and cup games, plus three friendlies. 33 children played in the team, in an age range that spanned 4 years from yr 5 to yr 8. We had seven different captains.
We won 5 of the 9 games, which was a really good effort considering the wide range of ages and experience that played. The 4 we lost were by a combined total of about 20 runs. I'd particularly like to thank the older/more experienced players who supported, encouraged and helped the less experienced players really well, who in many cases were playing their first competitive hard ball games.
