Help needed to repair nets Saturday 28th March

Those wanting to use the outdoor nets in winter (there are some!) may have noticed that they have dropped to the ground. The steel wire ropes that the nets are hung from have chafed through in the stormy weather and need replacing ready for the coming season.

A start has been made, but more help is needed to get the nets ready for the coming season, so volunteers are sought to work on the nets on Saturday 28th March.

To do this we will need both bodies and access equipment. In terms of access equipment, we either need conventional extending ladders that can be leant up against the net support frame, which is 4 metres high, or stepladders/access platforms which give a working platform about 2 metres high so people can reach the top of the nets which are just under 4 metres high.

There will be a morning session from 9.30 to 12.30 and an afternoon session from 2.00 to 5.00.

Could those able to give up some of their time and/or lend equipment to help please email
