Under-11s Raiders vs Bedale match report

Raiders won by 60 runs!

Bedale won the toss and elected to bat first.

Raiders bowled well throughout the innings, steadily taking wickets. The performance on the field was our usual high standard and with some tight fielding - and a direct hit run out by Isaac - Bedale were restricted to 280-6, net 250. Wicket takers being Raam, Zac and Max (1 each) and 2 for Will P.

So with the message at half time of “Don’t lose wickets”, the Raiders set about their task.

The message must of got through as only 1 wicket fell in the Raiders fantastic total of 315-1, net 310. Resulting in a 60 run win. Raam top score of the day with 23 runs, closely followed by Max with 21.

The Wensleydale Heifer Man of the Match goes to James Madden for a much improved bowling performance and for batting out two full overs without losing his wicket.
