Raiders v Middleham

The Raiders travelled to Middleham on Tuesday 2nd July . We came here expecting a good result. We lost the toss and got put to bat first. With the bat the 1st pair Max and Will P hit 22-1. Next in was Raam and Archie they got 24-1. Zac and James were up next they got 11 not out. The last pair stepped in Isaac and Will ex Middleham player so the pressure was on. They managed to come back with 33 not out. We had managed to put a huge score on the board of 340-2 so they were chasing 330 net. This could be our highest score of the season.

Opening the bowling was Will R, he bowled really well and got a wicket maiden, Raam also got a maiden and a wicket. Zac’s bowling was really tight and also got a maiden and only gave 1 run away. We had to change wicket keepers because Isaac hurt his thumb, Captain Max stepped up and played his first game as wicket keeper during Zac’s over. James did really well and got asked to bowl 3 overs. Archie was great and bowled one that landed on Max’s knee, we thought we would be changing wicket keeper again. Max shook his leg off and continued. Will P only gave 3 runs away and bowled one clean wicket. Isaac was last and went for 1 run and another maiden over was had.

The Wensleydale Heifer Man of the Match was Isaac Bottomley for his batting performance of 27 runs.
