After winning the toss Richmondshire decided to field. With some good accurate bowling from Alex Nimmo at the start with 3-0-8-0 and at the end from Harris Mcfarlane 2-0-5-2. Barnard Castle still made 129-6 from 20 overs.

Knowing that it was a big total to chase down Richmondshire knew they would have to bat well to win. Richmondshire got off to a flying start before losing Jonny Baines for 20. Next to go was Alex again for 20 off just 13 balls. Captain Tom was out next on 25. Still facing a score to chase down and needing 7 an over Ben Dale kept the score moving before going for 20. With Richmondshire losing their 7th wicket in came Fin Clark who, up to 30 minutes before the game, wasn’t playing but came in due to an injury. Fin hit an unbeaten 12 of 7 balls including the winning runs with just 1 ball left.
It was a very exciting and nerve racking game.
