Richmondshire Under-13s match report vs Blackhall

After being frustrated by the weather over the last few weeks, Richmondshire Under-13s got their league campaign back up and running with another good win.

Batting first, Blackhall, now also having strengthened by recruiting a few players from Seaton Carew, got off to a steady start, but they found the runs hard to come by due to accurate bowling and excellent fielding by Richmondshire.

Andrew Ralph broke up the opening partnership by bowling out their number 2 and Harvey Olney celebrated his 13th birthday with his first ever wicket for the Under-13s, after a quick-thinking stumping by Joe Sydall.

Blackhall ended their 20 overs on 91-2.

Richmondshire got off to a fantastic start thanks to an unbeaten partnership between openers Alex Nimmo and Finlay Clarke. Both retired on 30 not out. Joe Sydall and William Shaefer then managed to see Richmondshire to victory with 6.5 overs to spare.

Richmondshire ended on 92-0 after 13.5 overs, winning by 10 wickets.

Having won 3 games and had a further one conceded, Richmondshire currently sit on the maximum 24 points.
