Richmondshire Under-11s (NYACC) match report vs Newton Aycliffe

Richmondshire Under-11s 322 for 7 (287 net) V Newton Aycliffe U11s 251 for 9 (206 net).

Richmondshire win by 81 runs.

Another win for our U11s on Sunday as they remain undefeated and chase down the NYACC League title.

Captain White won the toss and chose to field. The team have been bowling well recently and were confident that they could limit the opposition’s total. That proved to be the case with some really aggressive and tight bowling. 

So much so that in the middle 8 overs only 1 run was scored from the bat and 6 wickets taken! Wickets were shared out nicely with the best bowling figures being provided by Will Roberts 2 for 1; Gabe Everitt 2 for 4; Raam 2 for 0 and Eddy 2 for 5.

With only 6 runs required for victory and 16 overs to get them in, the team set themselves a target of scoring at least 100 runs. They batted aggressively and scored well, aided by 7 wides and 12 no balls that gave us an extra 38 runs! The best contributions came from a confident 16 from Gabe and a cultured 17 from Joe White.

The Wensleydale Heifer Player of the Match is awarded to Gabe Everitt for an excellent performance throughout the game with bat and ball.
