Opposition teams Pyrahlised at hot softball festival

The following report is from Cleo Pyrah, mother of Thomas and Daisy:

A thrilling (although long and hot) afternoon of cricket at the ‘Middleton in Teesdale Softball tournament’. Our team (Amelie, Archie, Daisy, Oliver, Raam , Ralph , Rebecca, and Thomas) won all their matches and the tournament.

It was a relentless non- stop play of four matches against Raby Castle, Barnard Castle, Middleton in Teesdale and Rockcliffe. Despite this, the team displayed sharp fielding (with a crucial, match – winning, wicket in the final over of the final match from Raam), and brave batting (Oliver was on fire!). There was at times carnage in the running (!) but great play by everyone all round, and a wonderful team spirit throughout!

A huge well done to everyone today and thank you to all the parents for helping out and giving such tremendous support.
