Outdoor training 2018
This year, outdoor training for Secondary School pupils will be on Wednesday evenings, Primary School training and All Stars will be on Friday evenings.
The default venue will be the cricket club, but once evening fixtures start, there will be a number of nights when due to matches taking place at the club ground, we will relocate to Richmond School.
Wednesday sessions will run from 6.30 to 8.00 and start on 18th April.
Friday sessions will run from 6.00 to 7.30 and start on 20th April.
At time of posting, the artificial wicket practice nets are in a condition where they can be used, but the field is still very damp, if ground conditions do improve, Team Managers may decide to organise an additional session for their squads.
Those who use the artificial wicket nets at this time of year are advised not to use a nice new bat or ball, the matting holds a lot of moisture which will make a mess of the toe of bats and the shine of the ball.
