Team D win Junior Division of Indoor League

Team D knew they needed a high scoring win to take the title and did so, posting a total of 132 for 5, to which Team A responded with 72 for 3. In the Team D innings Daniel Francis top scored with 35, there were also double figure scores for Lucas Holmes, Joseph White, Will Newson and Will Mawer. The innings included a team hat trick for Team A, with Toby Broderick taking wickets with his last two balls and Tom Van Niekerk taking one with the first ball of the next over. Toby will have to wait until next year to see if he can get the third wicket. The Team A innings included double figure scores for Alex Pinkney, Toby Broderick, Gabriel Stewart and Max Booth, but did not include enough straight boundary hits to generate a high score.

The Senior Division witnessed the Walker twins at full throttle. Gary and Mark both scored 52 not out and Patrick Carlton 38 as Team A raced to 187 for 5. This score was not all due to power hitting, there was some very fast running between the wickets as well.There were some horrible bowling figures, but Alex Speakman bowled very well, not being hit for any fours or sixes. The Team D response got off to a bad start as Mark Walker bowled James Newson with the first ball of the innings. Uchenna scored 29 not out and Alex 14, but with wicket maidens for Patrick Carlton and late substitute Peter While, the innings finished 2 overs short of the allowance at 72 all out.
