Junior Division
Team C 71 for 2 beat Team D 63 for 5. Team C managed their strong score without any really high individual high scores, though both Joe Carruthers and Andrew Ralph got double figures. Tight bowling, in particular from Catherine Ralph, who conceded only three runs from her two overs and also from Zac Cleminson who was on a hat trick, restricted Team D to 63 runs, despite a stylish 31 runs from Joseph White.
Senior Division
This week again saw some high scoring competitive cricket, Team D 172 for 6 beat Team C 169 for 6. In Team D's innings Will Senior scored 37 not out, Tom Ward 33 not out, Griff Bewell 28 and Uchenna Anyadiegwu 27. Despite the high scoring, Olly Senior managed bowling figures of 2 for 8. Team C got off to a flying start, with Harvey Websdale, Sam Metcalfe and Tom Spensley all retiring when they reached 25 runs. Tom Ward and Henry Bushell both took two wickets in their second overs as the tide then turned and a wicket maiden left the last two not out batters Millie Aston and Tom Spensley needing 43 off the last four overs to win the match. Millie ran hard and Tom hit hard, leaving Tom needing to score four off the last ball to win. Tom went for the big hit and missed the ball, to leave Team D winners by three runs, with Tom on 48 not out and Millie 16 not out.
