U15 Match Report

A win, not by the widest of margins, which I think leaves Richmondshire and Barnard Castle as the two unbeaten teams in the league.

Hartlepool batted first and were contained to 86 for 8, apart from a few too many wides and no balls our performance was good, with Toby's fielding outstanding. Jonny Carlton took a couple more wickets to move ahead as leading wicket taker, a spectating Shani Dissanayake also praised Jonny's catch to dismiss their no. 3.

With the exception of Matthew Price, who scored another unbeaten 50, there is not a lot to be said about our batting. Too many batters played a couple of decent shots and then got out, but fortunately getting ahead of the rate in the early overs meant that the runs were knocked off with two overs to spare and 7 wickets down.

A much better result than our first XI managed against Hartlepool the previous day.
