U15 Match Report
Richmondshire 186-2, Norton 112-8.
A bit of an odd match this, we batted first against a team containing 4 good cricketers, with the remainder of the opposition team all makeweights. Matthew Price and George Spink helped themselves to fifties before retiring, the two wickets falling to the Norton pace bowler Adamson who was certainly too fast for their keeper, who conceded 16 byes.
When we were in the field we used 9 bowlers, with Jack Smith and Tyler Spence each taking 3 wickets as Norton dropped behind the required rate. Jack took the wickets of batters 2, 3 and 4, he tossed the ball up, the batters hit it in the air and our fielders caught it; all very simple. Tyler mopped up the lower order with a stumping from George, a bowled and an lbw.
Thursday evening is expected to be more challenging.
