D&D U13 Victory in the sun at Gilling
Despite the competing demand of the main U13 team playing at the main ground, the Richmond D+D team scored a comfortable victory over Rockliffe (last years D+D league winners) in the D+D U13 cup.
A strong batting performance was centred round scores of 20+ by each of Tom Ward, Griff Bewell and James Newson, whose pleasure at smashing a six onto the Gilling Rd was matched by Rockliffe's displeasure at losing a nice new ball. Richmond totalled 287 net, a good effort off only 16 overs.
A good all round bowling and fielding performance saw Richmond win by over 40 runs. Sam, George, Edmund and Johnny all bowled well, with Henry also doing sterling work behind the timbers.
