U15 Match Report, away v Sedgefield

Richmondshire 126 for 8 Sedgefield 36 for 8

On a large outfield with all boundaries uphill, 126 was a good score. Main contributions were from George Spink with 43, Mark Walker 27 and Gary Walker 16 as we recovered well from the early loss of Sam. The running was excellent, with the Sedgefield fielders being put under constant pressure.

When Sedgefield batted, they soon lost wickets. One opener was bowled by Sam, the other run out by Jonny Carlton, Jonny Carr was then lucky to get the wicket of the number three after he slashed a wide ball into Sam's hands at point. Mark Walker bowled a good spell in which he took two wickets; the Sedgefield lower order then had a little batting practice as they batted out the overs.

Victory against Darlington will secure a semi-final spot in the Chester Cup, but losing that first match at Barnard Castle means it will probably be away.
