Indoor League Week 5 and League Table
Junior Division
Team A 118 for 0 beat Team C 58 all out. An excellent team performance batting first from Team A with all batters scoring double figures. The match result was probably dictated early in the Team C response by an absolute snorter of an inswinging yorker from Sam Potter which bowled Tom Ward before he had got going and exposed the Team C middle order to the strongest bowlers. This result leaves the league table as follows:
Team A 4 points 238 runs
Team B 2 points 131 runs
Team C 3 points 299 runs
Team D 1 point 190 runs
Team B need to win next week and score 108 runs to win the league title, otherwise it will go to Team A.
Senior Division
Team A 149 for 5 (Jonny Carlton 90*, Daniella Sharp 1-11) beat Team C 136 a.o. ( Lucy Hartley 46, Amy Jobling 30). A fine game this, Team A lost 3 early wickets but Jonny Carlton came back after retiring and contributions from the two Henrys Shepherd and Noke enabled the team to build an unexpectedly strong total. The girls then made a very spirited response despite being without their most experienced batters, Amy was caught off the last ball off a shot heading for the boundary, otherwise the margin would have been smaller. The league table:

Team B 2 points 261 runs
Team C 0 points 308 runs
Team D 4 points 251 runs
A win next week will secure the title for Team D, if they don't win, the title could go to either of Teams A or B.
