Richmondshire Under 13's do the Treble!

This morning the Under 13's played their final match of the season a final against the winners of the Southern NYACC league - Guisborough.

After some complaint by the opposition the wicket was moved to a 22 yard wicket and Richmond having won the toss decided to bowl first.

Richmond bowled and fielded well, the figures were as follows:

Sam Winter 3 overs, 2 maidens, 6 runs for 0 wickets
Jonny Carr 4 overs, 0 maidens, 10 runs for 2 wickets
James Kelly 4 overs, 0 maidens, 11 runs for 1 wicket
Johnny Carlton 4 overs, 2 maidens, 2 runs for 2 wickets
Jordan Forbes 3 overs, 0 maidens, 15 runs for 0 wickets
Mark Walker 2 overs, 0 maidens, 2 runs for  1 wicket

We took 4 catches, Jordan Forbes, Mark Walker, George Spink and Jonny Carr, George also took a stumping.

With 10 extras added, Guisborough finished on 45 which seemed as though it would be an easy target to reach.

Gary Walker and Tom Dowson opened, Gary was caught and bowled for 1, Sam Winter came in next and was bowled by a good ball, George was next and scored 5 and was bowled, James Kelly stayed in for a long time hitting some nice shots but the outfield was slow and we needed to pick up the run rate, he was caught for 4, Harvey was next up and was unlucky to be run out for 0, when Jonny Carr went in we needed 2 runs to secure victory, he went in during the 19th over and scored the 2 required, credit to Tom Dowson who lasted until the end of the innings, batting extremely well and scored 20 runs.

Well done to all the boys, a good match from two good bowling sides and we now have all three cups in our club house.

It has been an absolute pleasure to take the team this year, all the boys have played every match with great enthusiam and the as we are unbeaten in both the league and the cup we couldn't have played any better!

Thank you to all the boys and parents!
