Richmond vs Darlington D+D U13 match report
Richmond signed off their D+D season with a good win over Darlington at Gilling.
A tight bowling and fielding performance restricted Darlington to 79-2, net 269, with spinners Tom Spensley and Griff Bewell picking up the two wickets, but all seven bowlers bowled good full lengths and straight, Max only conceding 1 run off 2 overs.
When we batted, four solid partnerships saw us win the game fairly comfortably in the end with a score of 123 for 5, net 298. Firstly Mark Walker and Daniel Baines put on 35 for loss of only a very unlucky runout backing up. Grifff Bewell and James Newson added 9-0. Jack Smith and Max King a further 38-2 and Gary Walker and Tom Spensley 41-2.
So, the end of a very enjoyable D+D season, although there may be a possibility of a couple of friendlies vs Raby Castle and Rockliffe Park.
