U13's get the season off to a winning start against Newton Aycliffe

The U13's season has started well against  not the strongest of opposition.  Richmond lost the toss and were put into bat, the opening pair Tom Dowson and Mark Walker scored 25, Jordon Forbes and Harvey Websdale came in next scoring 21 with the loss of 1 wicket, Jack Smith and Nathan followed scoring 25 with the loss of 1, Gary Walker and Kyle were next in with Gary scoring the top score of the day at 29 and the pair scored 32 for the loss of 1, James Kelly and George Spink came in last scoring 10 with the loss of 1 wicket, Richmond finished on 309.

Newton Aycliffe then came into bat, they scored a total of 28 runs plus 15 extras but with the loss of 11 wickets!  Our bowling was accurate 5 maiden overs were bowled, Jordon, James, Mark, Harvey and Kyle all took 2 wickets each and Nathan took 1.  Credit should also go to Tom Dowson who took 2 stumpings.

Richmond won by 154 runs.  Well played to all the boys.
