Match Report, U15s v Darlington RA
We batted first on a cold morning with dew on the ground. Joe Shields scored a fine 51 retired with 3 sixes, Owen Kelly 37 not out. When Joe was going well it looked like we might get a very high score, as it was, we finished on 121 for 2.
The highlight of RA's response was the innings of 54 retired by Ben I'Anson, who had also fielded and bowled very well. There was little strength in the RA batting apart from their other opener, but aided by the unacceptable contribution of 19 runs and 16 extra deliveries from wides and no balls, RA finished up only 7 runs short of our total on 114 for 4.
A win, but we can and will need to be much better in the field.
