Angus beefs up 5th team
With the adult 5th XI minus a few regulars this week, the team was made up entirely of juniors and junior parents.
The team played away at Cockerton and bowled out their 2nd XI for 64 in 29 overs. Wicket takers were Toby Lush 2-13, Andrew Gordon 3-10, Georgie Walker 1-7, Angus Barlow 2-9, with a catch for James Irving and two runouts for Peter While, one a direct hit, the other involving a very neat take from Finnis Barlow.
With the wicket being a touch green and "sporting", scoring the 65 runs to win wasn't going to be that easy, but a fine innings of 33 not out from Angus Barlow, who punished bad balls very effectively, took the team to a 4 wicket victory with plenty of overs left.
