Girls into next round of National competition

The girls stormed into the next round of the ECB National U15 Knockout by beating our nearest rivals North Stainley by 5 wickets in the hardball 8 a-side match at a beautiful Wath pitch on a glorious evening.
North Stainley have 6 players in North Yorkshire squads (a very strong girls team)
Georgi won the toss and elected to bowl. We bowled beautifully with Georgi 5 overs 0-20, Stella 5 overs 2-19, Lucy 4 overs 0-19, Rosie 5 overs 1-5 and Liberty 1 over 0-5 and 19 extras restricting North Stainley to 87-3 after 20 overs. Some great fielding contributed to keeping the score down.
In reply Stella and Rosie opened up well until Stella played on for 6. Georgi came to the crease and injected a little pace into the batting until bowled for 6. India came in and supported Rosie really well and finished not out 2. Rosie however showed what a good player she is becoming by carrying her bat for an unbeaten 46 including six fours.
The game was won with 6.4 overs to spare which shows what a fantastic all round performance this was against a very strong team.
A big thanks to North Stainley for hosting with a fantastic spread put on for the girls.
May be worth taking sun cream India to stop grill lines across your face from the sun whilst wearing a helmet. ( thought I'd heard it all )
Well done to all and lets hope the next round is Wakefield and not Nottingham.
