D and D U13 Cup Match v Middleton, Match Report

Richmondshire 72 for 5 (247 net) beat Middleton in Teesdale 56 for 7 (221 net) by 26 runs.

Richmondshire bowled first, despite our bowling attack being inexperienced we conceded only 12 extras, all bowlers had presentable figures, our youngest bowler Jonathan Baines got the best figures of 2 for 8 thanks to a double wicket maiden in his first over.

Batting against the Middleton bowlers required considerable footwork and a long reach, only James Irving and Maurice Boschke managed boundaries, but the opening partnership from James and Adam set us on our way to victory and our remaining pairs ensured we hung onto it.

Next week's D and D match should be against Darlington, therefore we will be playing an experienced side.
