Raby "Castled" in big win for U13s
Our D and D team ran out easy winners in a very high scoring match on a good pitch with short boundaries and a fast outfield, so that most well hit shots went to the boundary.
Raby batted first and got a respectable 94 for 10, 244 net, with 4 wickets for Luke Bell, 3 for Jonny Carr, 2 for Gary Walker and 1 for Kyle Galloway. Only 19 of the runs scored by Raby were extras, pleasingly we held a number of good catches.
Our innings was full of excellent partnerships as we made 175 for 2, 365 net. A number of catches were dropped, lots of good boundaries were hit, including a lovely straight six from Gary Walker. Individual scores were as follows: Maurice 6 not out, Luke 26 for once out, Gary 17 not out, Will 2 not out, Kyle 36 for once out, Nathan 20 not out, Jonny 20 not out, Mark 30 not out.
A good night's cricket, just don't expect to get away with giving all those catches against a stronger fielding side.
