Fundraising, bagpacking at Tesco now 29th September
Those who have used the nets at the club will be aware that the matting is seriously worn out. We intend to replace the current net facility with a new one, some grant funding has already been received and we have another grant application under consideration.
We also need to raise some funds ourselves. UPDATE: We have a back packing session booked at the Garrison Tesco store on 29th September, from 10 to 4.00 pm, which we plan to run jointly with the ABF, the Soldiers Charity.
Whilst there are not many who would say this is their favourite way of spending a couple of hours at a weekend, it is a very effective means of fundraising, we would like as many of our junior members and their parents as possible to make themselves available for a 1 or 2 hour slot on this weekend.
