U13 v Olicanians Thursday 12th July away at Ilkley

Richmondshire vipers won by 1 run in the ECB national hardball competition.

What a game !!

Richmond batted first and were all out for 58 after only 13 overs of the 20. Not many were scored off the bat so extras played a part.

Richmond  went out determined to defend their total.  The bowling and fielding was excellent given that their batters were very skilled. Rosie B was to bowl the last over with figures of 0-1 off 4 overs. Olicanians needed 10 to win. The first ball went for 4 (6 off 5  ) --then 3 singles and a dot (3 off 1). Olicanians tried to run 2 to tie the game and win on wickets but our girls held their nerve and ran their best batter out (only 1 scored)  -------- A WIN.

Well played to all the girls.

Next round is at home against Sheffield.
