U11 game v Darlington RA Match Report
The under 11s played their first home game of the season against Darlington RA at Gilling West. Darlington RA batted first and all the Richmond bowlers were very good maintaining a good line and length on a pitch with little bounce. Wickets were taken by Jonathan Carlton 2 wickets for 5 runs, Toby Newton 1 for 4 and the pick of the bowlers Jordan Forbes 4 for 7. There was also an excellent one handed catch by Jonathan Carlton and a fantastic effort at a catch by George Spink. Darlington RA finished on a net score of 185.
Richmond generally batted well throughout although runs were hard to come by early on. Top score was shared by George Spink and Tom Dowson with 9 runs each. There was also even a reverse sweep by Jordan Forbes off the RA's spinner. Richomnd ended up with a net score of 226 runs and won by 41 runs.
Great team effort by all the boys.
