Match report, U15s v Darlington RA

A welcome win for the U15s as they successfully defended a lowish total of 86-5 by bowling out RA in the last over.

Richmondshire batted first, Josh Dowson played well at the top of the order; his innings was followed up by Adam Langhorne who dealt well with some loose balls. The team still needs to work on keeping the scoreboard ticking over and strike rotation to post more challenging totals; there are too many dot balls.

When Darlington RA batted, they got off to a quick start, but once their best batsman was out, demonstrated that there was little depth to their batting. Though RA were up with the rate, wickets fell regularly. Adam and Bradley Goldsmith bowled tightly in the middle of the innings to keep the pressure up, then Josh took two wickets in the last over to finish off the match, to leave Richmondshire winners by about 5 runs.
