D&D U13 v Barton Match Report
Richmondshire batted first in this D&D match. James Kelly opened the bowling for Barton, taking two wickets in the first over with wicked, swinging deliveries and finishing with 3 for 5. The rest of the Barton bowlers were relatively inexperienced and less threatening, Richmondshire finished their innings on 70 for 5, 245 net.
The Barton innings was lower scoring, a score of 36 for 10 resulting in a net score of 186. James Irving took 5 wickets, Ted 2 wickets, Liam Thackray 1 wicket and Joey 1 wicket, Charlie Bond added a runout.
Well done to Barton for getting a team together again, village teams play an important role in increasing the number of people able to enjoy playing the game.
