Knight Riders win IPL

Well captained by Georgi Walker, the Knight Riders won the final of the IPL, beating the Daredevils, whose strong bowling attack was not enough as both Georgi and David Russell scored 25. For the Daredevils, Liam Laverick top scored with 16 runs, while Matthew Jinks took 2-2.

Final score: Kolkata Knight Riders 88-0 beat Delhi Daredevils 42-3.

The Daredevils came through the first semi-final, despite an ordinary looking score of 56-3, as they bowled the Superkings out in 7.1 overs for only 36, their excellent all round bowling attack being led by the lightning quick James Kelly.

The Knight Riders were grateful to their younger players in their semi-final, with young Casper Stone top scoring with 21 in their total of 64 all out. Connor McSherry had removed "pro" Adam Langhorne early on and James Irving took 2-6. The Royals regretted not taking early run scoring opportunities as they only managed 55-4 in response.
