Richmondshire Cricket Club Centre of Excellence
The club is proud to announce the formation of the Richmondshire Cricket Club Centre of Excellence, which will be run by our ECB Level III coach, Umer Rashid.
Umer has a track-record of delivering high class coaching, both at Yorkshire Cricket Club Pathways and as head coach of Pakistan women’s test team, and he has designed a ten-week Winter program that will not just improve your technical skills, but will also address the tactical, physical and mental aspects of the game.
Umer will be assisted by ECB Level II Coaches: Mark Layfield; Mike Layfield; Lewis Metcalfe; James Naden, fitness and conditioning expert Paul Goad and others through the ten-week course.
The Winter program is based on the coaching programs Umer has delivered in the past to county and international players.
We have shortlisted those Juniors that we think would most benefit from high quality coaching, and letters will be posted to those selected in the next couple of days.
We understand that many of you may have other commitments, so we are running two identical programs on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, from 6pm to 8:30pm, and you can choose the evening that best suits on the application form.
The cost of the ten-week course is £100, with £50 discounts for each additional sibling.
The Winter program will begin on Wednesday 12 October or Wednesday 19 October, subject to finalizing arrangements with the Infantry Training Centre at Catterick Garrison, which will host the coaching at its first-class sports hall on the camp.
We will get in touch by telephone in the next week once details are finalised.
