U11 Festival 28 June: Richmondshire Challengers & Richmondshire Royals
There will be two Richmondshire teams at the U11 Festival on 28 June: one drawn from the Challengers training group; and a second drawn from the Royals coaching group.
Richmondshire Challengers will be managed by Jim While; Richmondshire Royals by Andy Barlow.
Most of the Challengers regularly play league cricket at U11, U12 and even U13 level, but for many of the Royals this may be their first game of "real" cricket with a hard ball.
To give them a taste of what to expect, we have organised two matches against Middleham (which is entering a team into the U11 festival) on Monday 15 and Monday 22 June, both matches AWAY at Middleham, 6:15PM start, 5:30PM meet at club.
Our plan is to field two completely different teams (16 players in total) over the two Middleham matches, so that we can look at as many potential players as possible.
On 18 June there will be a one-off coaching session/game at the club for those 16 players, which will run alongside an U11 match between Richmondshire Challengers and Saltburn.
The remaining six teams in the Festival are:
Aldborough St. John
Barton
Darlington
Helperby
Middleham
Scorton
