A strong performance in the field paved the way for Richmondshire's 39 point victory. Thirsk batted first, but suffered 8 dismissals during their innings, to leave them on 185 points, with only one batsman having a net positive score. Richmondshire batted moresensibly in their innings, with only 2 dismissals, they secured a total of 224 points, giving an excellent start to the season.
