Richmondshire & North Hambleton Cricket Development Group

The inaugural meeting of the Richmondshire & North Hambleton Cricket Development Group (R&NH CDG) is being hosted by Richmond and will take place at Richmond Station on Tuesday 31 March at 7PM.

The meeting has been arranged by Yorkshire Cricket Board 's Ian Powell, Cricket Development Manager for North Yorkshire.

Ian says "Within North Yorkshire we have seven development groups all working to help clubs identify their needs and share best practice. By working together they can look at funding issues, planning, coach education and a whole raft of concerns and ideas."

"Membership is open to all Yorkshire Cricket Board (YCB) affiliated clubs in Richmondshire and North Hambleton but only member clubs of the CDG will benefit from funding and access to courses run through the group and through the YCB."

"For the YCB to have any idea as to what is happening in each Development Group area we need to have clubs involved and inputting their plans and requirements. "

"We are all at a very important phase of development and we need to pull together to make sure your area is at the forefront of development, not just at club level but in making sure we have provision for developing our young players."
